A Hint of Spring

By Katy Agro Myers

Hey party people! It's been a while since you've heard from me, huh? I'm here - I promise! Working on the back end to continue to bring you events and activities in Anne Arundel County so you can have fun with your family!

I don't know about you - but for me, Winter was LOOOOOONNNNNGGGG. These 60 degree days full of sunshine have me ready and waiting for Spring to arrive. And I'm not talking about the April Showers - I'm over the rain. I'm talking about sunshine, days outside. Sitting around firepits with friends and family. Long days in the sun at the sports fields. Leading right into summer with cookouts and pool parties. I'm ready to just embrace it all.

Springtime is a time of renewal. A reminder to refresh and reset. Plan your spring cleaning. In my house it's meant painting some walls, finishing some projects. Spending more time together. For me personally, it's meant refocusing on the things that are important. Getting down to work. And having a renewed sense of purpose and drive. Getting out of the funk and into action.

But it also is a reminder to find gratitude. If you've been following AK for a while, you know that I am a BIG fan of gratitude. I feel that gratitude changes your attitude and allows for positivity. I'll be the first to admin -the last few months have been a little heavy, and I've lost sight of the gratitude. But over the last two weeks, friends and family have shown their love in BIG ways - and I am nothing but grateful. Spring has brought my gratitude back - and it's brought my renewed sense of hope. And I HOPE that carries us right through spring and to summer fun!

So this weekend (today anyway) enjoy the sun before the rain comes back. I hate to even say it outloud - but Maryland weather is so crazy, we just might get one more snow before Spring sticks around. Happy. SPRING!

xoxo,

Katy
