Sweet Surplus: What to Do with Extra Halloween Candy
The excitement of Halloween night has come and gone, leaving us with a familiar conundrum: an overwhelming abundance of candy. As parents, guardians, or even avid trick-or-treaters themselves, many find themselves faced with the dilemma of what to do with all that extra Halloween candy. While indulging in a few sweet treats is undoubtedly part of the fun, we've got some creative ideas to help you manage the surplus while spreading the joy to others. It's time to turn that candy stash into something truly special!
Donate to Caring Cupboard - Pasadena
If you have left over Halloween candy you can donate it to the Caring Cupboard.
Last year they were able to give out over a thousand candy bags across the county because of your donations to the Caring Cupboard. Let's do that again! They were also in-schoolable to give hundreds of bags to our schools with in-school pantries. Sometimes just a small act can mean so much to a child in need. The kiddos loved it!
Drop it in the wooden boxes at the Caring Cupboard LLC 8513 Ft Smallwood Rd, Pasadena, Md. We will bag them up and put them in as an added treat to our holiday meal bags this season.
Donate to BKind Gives - Glen Burnie
Similar to Caring Cupboard, BKind Gives helps those with food insecurities throughout our community. Donations will be made into goody bags and distributed at weekly outreach. You can donate during outreach on Saturday mornings at Son Rise Church in Glen Burnie: 7142 Ritchie Highway Glen Burnie, MD 21061
Donate to College Students with Kid Changemakers - Gambrills
It's that time of year again when Kid Changemakers makes care packages for local college students preparing for midterm exams! After Halloween, please keep us in mind to donate your extra candy. Message them on their Facebook Page for the drop-off address.
