Fall Family Hikes Near Anne Arundel County

Getting outside is so important. It's great for your physical health and mental health. Plus, it burns all that energy that your kids have building up! It's time - get outside and enjoy a family hike near Anne Arundel County!
Some of our favorite walking trails are located right in our state's capital. When we're looking for an easy-peasy way to get our kids out of the house and exhaust them, heading out to one of these trails is the sure-fire way to make that happen!
👟Anne Arundel Community College Hiking and Running Trails
101 College Parkway, Arnold
"The trails at the community college are open to the public and are connected through a series of grass and dirt trails. While much of the trail is flat and the surface is even, there are some areas with steep inclines and exposed roots."
Information on various access points can be found on the DNR website.
440-470 Shore Acres Rd, Arnold
"The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking and walking."

"The scenic, paved, 13-mile community trail is brimming with history lessons and boasts a solar system of information."

Park at City Dock and walk over.
"The run through the yard can be designed to be flat, taking a runner alongside the Chesapeake Bay and the Severn River or a little more challenging by adding Hospital Hill to the course."
