Donate to Zach & Tyler’s Gently Used and New Sports Equipment Drive

By Nicole Donnelly

Did you know that 1 in 5 underserved households are not getting their kids involved in athletics because of the rising price of sporting equipment?

Friends Zach and Tyler are working with the nonprofit “Leveling the Playing Field” to collect used and new sporting goods to be donated to kids in need. The cost of sports equipment has left a growing number of kids on the sidelines and they are working to ensure those kids have access to completely free equipment so they can get off the sidelines and in the game!

"Leveling the Playing Field" works within the community to collect used/excess sporting equipment so that they can ensure that every kid living in and around the greater Baltimore area can enjoy the benefits of athletic involvement. Donations benefit Title I/Charter Schools and youth/after-school programs looking to engage their students in the physical & mental benefits of youth sports participation.

Can you help them out? Clean out your garages, look through any items that are sitting around your house not being used, find equipment that your child has outgrown, or purchase a new item from the list of accepted items. All donations will be distributed to students in the Baltimore area.

For information on what items are accepted please click here:

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call 301-844-5620 or email info@levelingtheplayingfield.org.

If anyone has any equipment, you can get it to Zach and Tyler in the following ways.
